Electronic School Diary Dates
We are trialling the use an electronic diary for parents and students. This will take over from the current "Diary Dates" card as our official communication with parents. The principle reason for this is that the information in the dates card is collated around 6 weeks before the start of term and is often inaccurate by the time parents receive it and as the term progresses.
An online diary can by updated at any time and by using a Google Calendar, it can be viewed in an internet browser (and printed!) and subscribed to by smartphones, iPhones, iPads and email clients such as Outlook. We have consulted with the MPA and are looking at further ways to improve the system such as colour-coding events and alerts. We have entered the school dates for next term excluding the PE fixture list. We are currently reviewing the best way to communicate the PE fixture list.

We will continue to produce a simple paper version of events at the beginning of term (on parental request) but ideally we would like to go paper-free.
