Four of our current upper sixth formers are celebrating offers to Oxford and Cambridge this year, all in science related subjects. Two girls are off to Cambridge, one to read Natural Sciences and the other Medicine; the two Oxford candidates will be reading Biology and Chemistry. Headmistress Bee Hughes said she was delighted with the offers, which once again confirms that girls achieve particularly highly in competitive disciplines. The students should be very proud of their achievements thus far. Applications to Oxbridge have been a trend at the Maynard for many years.
