Wear it Purple Day – Friday 26 March

Wear it Purple Day – Friday 26 MarchGeorgina Daugherty (U5P) is raising funds for the National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCF), a charity whose vision is a world without barriers for every deaf child, through various money-making activities.

Georgina, who suffers from a hearing impairment herself, wants to raise awareness about the NDCF and promote the good work that they do. She has taken assemblies in both the junior and senior schools to raise awareness of the charity, held a cake sale and organised a ‘Purple Day’ on Friday 26 February, when students paid £1 to wear purple for the day. She also hopes to hold a sponsored bike ride later in the year.
