At the end of January our Upper Sixth Historians made the journey up to London to visit the National Archives at Kew. Their task was to extend their individual research into their chosen topics for their Historical Enquiries.

On Sunday 12 February thirteen members of Upper 4, Lower 5 and Upper 5 set off on the second leg of this year’s exchange with our partner school of five decades, Scharnhorst Gymnasium, Hildesheim. A group of German students had visited us in October and the time had come for us to spend a week with our host families.

Georgina Hopgood in L5 will be taking part in the National Three Peaks Challenge at the end of June 2011. This will involve climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mount Snowdon in 24 hours. Not only will Georgina be taking on this very tough challenge, but she will also be attempting to break a record and become the Youngest Solo Person to complete the Three Peaks Challenge.
