We have active links abroad and organise regular French, German and Spanish trips.

Broadening HorizonsThe Classics Department also organizes visits to Greece and Italy. A biennial ski trip is also available. In recent years, older girls have been able to take part in World Challenge trips, which have included visits to Venezuela, India and Morocco. World Challenge trips aim to provide education through exploration and adventure; raising their own funds to participate in the trip is a big part of the overall experience for the girls.

Work Experience

In Year 11 girls embark on a period of Work Experience once GCSE examinations have finished. Guided and monitored by our Head of Careers, girls are free to pursue whichever area of work they are interested in. Some girls choose to complete their work experience abroad — last year one pupil worked on an immunization project in Africa whilst another spent a week working at an architectural practice in Sweden.
