Ongoing Fundraising to Support our Bursary Programme
When Sir John Maynard founded what was to become The Maynard School, he could not possibly have envisaged the longevity his legacy would enjoy. The Maynard School has stayed true to Sir John's ethos — that of providing girls with a challenging and fully-rounded education of the highest calibre — and our Governors maintain a commitment to ensuring the widest possible access to a Maynard education for girls from all social and economic backgrounds.
We aim to offer a place at The Maynard to any girl, regardless of family income, solely on the basis that the student would thrive in the School's unique environment. However, the School is not well-endowed and fees assistance is an annual cost funded from fee income and donations from former students, parents, governors, local businesses and The Maynard's many friends.
