Raise Funds Free Online
The Maynard is participating in two exciting online initiatives that will provide funds for the School’s bursary programme.
The best part is that your involvement won’t cost you a penny: the money you can raise for us every time you use the internet comes from High Street retailers and sponsored search engine links. We hope everyone will try them out, as the more active supporters we have, the more money we can raise.
The Maynard School is now listed on Everyclick.com, an internet search engine with a big difference - it donates half its revenues to charity. This income is generated in exactly the same way that all other search engines make their money, by users clicking on sponsored links. Everyclick.com distributes the funds in a ratio according to how many active users an organisation has compared to other charities, so the more people who nominate the Maynard to receive the proceeds from their searches, the more funds we can raise.
Please go to http://www.everyclick.com/uk/the-maynard-school/375252/0, and start raising money for us whenever you search the web. Don't forget to add the site to your favourites so you can find it again easily, and you can even make it your home page by clicking on the ‘house’ link in the top right hand corner of the webpage.
Do you shop online? Apparently 26 million people do in Britain alone, so you are in good company. The Maynard is taking advantage of this growing trend by registering with Easyfundraising.org, a portal that gives our supporters access to more than 400 retailers who will pay a commission to the school each time you make a purchase. Companies involved include Amazon, eBay, Tesco, Next, Marks & Spencer, Mothercare, PC World, and iTunes, as well as travel agents, banks, and utility providers, so you can also raise money by, for example, changing your electricity supplier or buying insurance.
Easyfundraising.org is simply a gateway that connects you with retailers and allows your purchases to be tracked so that the commission fee can be sent to the school. The sales transaction takes place directly between you and the retailer, and the price paid is the same as it would be if you went directly to their own website. If you want to know what’s in it for them, the retailers are using Easyfundraising.org as a means of recruiting new customers, who, they hope, will shop directly with them next time. We, on the other hand, would like you to shop through Easyfundraising.org every time, as that means more commission fees for the school!
To start helping us the next time you shop online, all you need to do is visit http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/maynardschool and register with the site, selecting The Maynard School as the organisation you wish to support.
