Pastoral Care
Our staff genuinely care about every pupil and take pride in knowing all our girls as individuals – which is why our deliberately smaller size makes such a powerful difference. Pupils are supported by teachers who understand them as learners, a form tutor they see daily, and a dedicated Head of Year who provides guidance and support whenever needed. This care is further strengthened by access to our wellbeing hubs, school nurse and specialist support teams. Central to our wellbeing provision are our much-loved school therapy dogs, who offer a listening ear and endless cuddles when they are needed most.
The proof that The Maynard is a truly happy school is reflected not only in the wellbeing and confidence of our pupils, but also in our outstanding A-level and GCSE results, where girls consistently achieve at the very highest level.
