Visits & Taster Days

The best way to really discover The Maynard School is to come and visit us to see for yourself the friendly atmosphere and electric learning environment for which we are famed! Prospective parents and their daughters are most welcome to visit us by prior appointment at any time during the school term.

Pre-Prep and Junior School

In the first instance, prospective Pre-Prep and Junior School parents and their daughters are invited to come in and meet Steve Smerdon, the Head of the Junior School, or Emma Cook, the Head of the Pre-Prep Department, for an informal chat and a tour around the Pre-Prep Department and/or the Junior School. This is a chance to ask any questions you may have and to see the school in action.

Senior School and Sixth Form

Prospective Senior School and Sixth Form parents and students are invited to meet our Headmistress, Sarah Dunn, for an informal chat. Following this you will be taken on a tour of the campus by our current Sixth Form students – a perfect way to soak up the School’s unique atmosphere and find out more about it from a pupil’s perspective.

Taster Days

We are always delighted to arrange individual Taster Days for prospective pupils at any time during term-time  – they are a great way to experience the very unique and friendly atmosphere here at The Maynard. Your daughter would join girls in her current year group and take part in their usual timetable for that day.

We also hold group Taster Days for prospective Year 3, Year 7, Year 9 and Lower Sixth pupils every November (2017 dates will be available soon).

To arrange a meeting  and a tour of the School, or to book a Taster Day, please contact Wendy Parker in our Admissions Department on 01392 355998 or admissions@maynard.co.uk.
