Sixth Form Taster Day
Experience an authentic sample of life at The Maynard at our upcoming Taster Day! This is a fantastic opportunity to join in with lessons, meet the teachers, chat to current and prospective pupils, and ultimately see for yourself what a warm and friendly school we are. This exciting event is designed to give her a real insight into life at The Maynard Sixth Form. Throughout the day, you will:
- Sample a range of A-level lessons, choosing from subjects including Art, Biology, Chemistry, Classical Civilisation, Drama, English Literature, Fashion & Textiles, Maths, Psychology, and many more.
- Take part in our Extension Studies Programme — a series of inspiring sessions that help broaden skills, boost confidence, and spark new interests.

- CrossFit with Miss Hartopp – Boost fitness and confidence in a fun, high-energy environment.

- Hot Debates – Learn persuasive speaking and critical thinking skills.
- MedSoc – Perfect for those considering medicine or healthcare careers.
- Self-Defence – Learn practical techniques to stay safe and feel empowered.
- Yoga – Take a moment to relax, stretch, and recharge.
