Let’s Get Girls Into STEM: Year 5 and 6 Forensics Day

On Monday, we were thrilled to welcome 55 girls from Exeter Cathedral School and St Leonard’s Primary, who joined our Maynard students for an exciting Girls into STEM Forensics Day for Years 5 and 6!

Everyone got the chance to step into the role of forensic investigators, taking part in hands-on activities to solve crime scenes using authentic scientific techniques. From fingerprinting and microscopy to chromatography, they discovered how science plays a vital role in cracking real cases.

It was a marvellous day with plenty of “aha!” moments along the way! What an incredible experience, and, we hope, an inspiration to the next generation of scientists to continue exploring all the exciting possibilities the world of STEM has to offer!
