If you thought maths was only useful in the sciences, think again! Friday brought everyone from Upper 4 (Year 9) to Lower 6 (Year 12) together to enjoy a really fascinating talk from nationally acclaimed speaker and Director of Maths Inspiration, Rob Eastaway. His session was a delightful blend of Maths, English AND History on the topic of Shakespeare, Maths and Elizabethan England – appropriately titled ‘Much Ado about Numbers’!
It was a fantastic cross-curricular experience, showcasing how learning across subjects can deepen understanding, spark curiosity, and make education even more engaging.
And in more exciting maths news, students also joined millions worldwide in the World Maths Day Live Mathletics challenges, tackling problems, competing globally, and celebrating the joy of mathematics. Overall, a fantastic week celebrating maths in its many forms!
