Our amazing Upper 3 (Year 7) art students took a walk on the wild side and recently completed their “Into the Jungle” project!
Studying artists such as Henri Rousseau and Nick Aston, as well as traditional botanical illustration, they were invited to create their own fantastical jungle images. As well as using their own observational drawings and photographs, the students were given the freedom to bring new colour to the overlapping shapes and forms.
After a long dark winter these paintings are bursting with light, life and springtime energy!
