Year 2 thoroughly enjoyed a fantastic day trip to Paignton Zoo last Wednesday!
They learned so much from a fascinating talk about habitats from Zoo Keeper Kay, and saw a huge selection of wild and wonderful animals, from the funny and energetic monkeys who kept everyone entertained with their antics to the majestic lions who could be heard roaring for much of the visit.
Not only was it lovely to see and learn about the animals, it also prompted thoughtful conversations about the importance of conservation and the important work that zoos and wildlife organisations do to help protect these animals for the future.
The class was an absolute credit to the school and got plenty of comments about how polite, attentive, and enthusiastic they were, which made the trip even more special. A marvellous day all round!
