Our Year 5 historians were transported back to the Anglo-Saxon era during their trip to Escot earlier this week! Forming part of their History topic of ‘Invaders and Settlers’, they experienced everyday life in an authentic Anglo-Saxon village and delved into the costume, craft and culture of the time. Plenty of bread making, sword skills, rune carving and iron forging fun! Plus, they enjoyed learning about some marine conservation in the afternoon as a bonus!
