Gift a Book
As part of improvements to the school library, we are refreshing our dedicated Sixth Form book area. In particular, we are aiming to update our subject specific books to encourage Senior School and Sixth Form girls to read beyond the curriculum and develop a real ‘love of learning’.
Each department has suggested a number of fantastic books which we have compiled into a ‘Sixth Form reading list’.
We are reaching out to our community to take part in our ‘Gift a book’ initiative. If you would like to ‘gift a book’ you can purchase one or more from our bespoke Amazon ‘wish list’ by following the links below. These are broadly organised into subjects.
Books which are donated will have a ‘book plate’ at the front of the book indicating the donors name. We hope this might be of particular interest to girls moving on into the next stage of their education and that families might like to leave a token marking their daughters time at the school.
We hope you can help us develop our students love of reading by selecting a book from one of the lists below.
- Once you have selected the books you wish to purchase they will be added to your basket. Please tick the box ‘this item will be a gift’
- Select delivery instructions with the School address: The Maynard School, Denmark Road, Exeter, EX11SJ.
- Please also complete the ‘gift message’ box with the donors name and any message you wish to appear on the book plate.
- Alternatively, you can make a donation via BACS to our school account, reference ‘Book Donation followed by your name.
