Learning about guide dogs

Lucy, Alice and Jasmine have done some absolutely amazing work to fundraise over £400 combined for The Guide Dogs and Pets as Therapy by selling hair bows! To keep learning about this brilliant cause, our Pre-Prep and Junior students got to meet a real guide dog in training and listen to a fascinating assembly all about how guide dogs support so many people in their daily lives.

It was incredible to hear firsthand about the experience of raising a guide dog, and also to reflect on the treasured memory of Nula – a beloved school dog for around 8 years who did guide dog training herself, and then became a therapy dog for our students.

Well done to our fantastic fundraisers and thank you so much to The Guide Dogs for taking the time to visit!
