Year 1 had such a lovely time at Haldon Forest! They followed the Discovery Trail (based on the story, Room on the Broom) and discovered the witch’s lost hat in the woods, kindly offering their own sunhats at the end. They made spells to fix the broken broom, found the prettiest leaves along the paths, collected wands to give to the witch, pretended to be scary dragons, and created their own big creatures to scare the dragon away, just like in the story!
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their walk through the woods, observing the trees, leaves and insects along the way. They had a lovely lunch together and finished the day with some fun on the playground.
Iggety, ziggety, zaggety, zoom… what a magical trip to remember!
