In their French lessons, Year 6 have spent the last few weeks on an exciting project to celebrate the 70th anniversary between Rennes and Exeter twinning!
They have done little videos about themselves and about The Maynard, which Anglo-French screenwriter Simon Cross is editing and putting together in the next few weeks. They also have written postcards to pupils in a French school, to tell them a bit more about who they are and their likes at school and in their free time (in French) and what Exeter is like as a city (in English).
This project has been a real success! Everyone has really risen to the challenge, displayed some great French and have gained confidence as linguists in leaps and bounds. A fabulous way to be part of a bigger community event and use their French for an authentic purpose!
