Annual field trip to Snowdonia

Posted on March 15, 2017

Our Lower 6 Geographers spent four days exploring the beautiful landscape of Snowdonia from 10 – 13 March on their annual fieldtrip. Work included looking at human geography fieldwork techniques in Betws Y Coed, exploring upland Glaciation up at the Nant Ffrancon valley and exploring the work of glaciers at Cwm Idwal. Sunday was spent looking at features of lowland Glaciation (Kames and Eskers) and measuring till cliffs on the North Wales coast to find evidence of direction of ice sheet flow. The day was rounded off with a huge roast dinner and plenty of cake!
