Mini Bus Driver - Part Time

GENERAL: To drive the school mini bus to nominated pick-up points, collect pupils and bring them to school ready for the start of the school day. At the end of the school day to ensure same pupils are returned to original pick-up point.

RESPONSIBLE and REPORTING to: The School Business Manager

LIAISON with: Bursary, parents/guardians and Estates.

SPECIFIC QUALITIES:

  • A courteous and welcoming manner under all circumstances in dealings with parents, pupils and all staff
  • A flexible approach and an enjoyment of team work; a willingness to adapt to the changing demands of school life

HOURS:

  • To be confirmed but 2 hours in the morning from approximately 0600 to 0830 and 2 hours in the evening from 1545 to 1800 Monday to Friday, term time only.

SPECIFIC TASKS

  • To record start and end mileage in the appropriate record book
  • To ensure the minibus is kept clean and tidy at all times
  • To collect pupils at nominated pick-up points – timetable to be confirmed
  • To return pupils to nominated drop-off points – timetable to be confirmed
  • To ensure mini bus has sufficient fuel at all times

Assistant Bursar - Full Time

Due to the growth and development of the school and our finance team, we have a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated and experienced Assistant Bursar to join our dedicated team. This exciting position would suit an individual who is proactive and innovative and who has the ambition for continuous professional development.

The role would involve working specifically with the Bursar to support the school’s finance and operational functions. Ideally, the successful applicant will be available to take up the post as soon as possible.

The role of the Assistant Bursar is to support the Bursar in the financial management and operational running of the school. As such the role is varied, widespread and demands a large degree of flexibility on the part of the post holder.

This role would be suitable for a candidate with future aspirations of becoming a School Bursar, further training would be available for the successful candidate.

The post holder should have effective time management and organisational skills, an accountancy qualification (qualified by experience would be considered) and strong IT skills.  Responsibilities will include financial management and support of estates management, leasing of facilities, health & safety, compliance, IT and general management and administration.

Prior experience of working in a school is not a pre-requisite but a tangible interest in, and empathy for, independent education is important.

The Bursar’s Assistant reports to the Bursar and works closely with the Finance Team, Estate and Facilities Manager and Administrative Staff.

Salary £31,989 – £37,141 per annum subject to experience and prospects to progress.

Maternity Cover - Full time Teaching Assistant YR – Y6 To Start January 2025

We are seeking to appoint a teaching assistant to work across the Junior School, helping in all areas of our school. The post is covering maternity leave and will be full time, with three days working from 08.30 – 5.30pm and two days 08.00 – 4.00pm. The role includes working with individual learners and small groups, assisting with classes, some supervisory duties and helping with after school care.
