We are seeking to appoint a teaching assistant to work across the Junior School, helping in all areas of our school. The post is full time, with three days working from 08.30 – 5.30pm and two days 08.00 – 4.00pm. The role includes working with individual learners and small groups, assisting with classes, supervisory duties and helping with after school care.

Kitchen Assistant - Part Time

Reporting to the Chef Manager

General:
To assist the Kitchen Manager, Chef and other Kitchen assistants in the smooth running of the catering provision at The Maynard School.

Duties:
To serve students during morning break and during the lunch time period for students and staff
To assist the catering team in preparing school lunches, packed lunches and hospitality refreshments
To serve, clear and wash up on a rotational basis
To clean and wash the dining room and Kitchen which includes floors and surfaces
All general kitchen duties

Required:
Food Hygiene certificate level 2

Qualities:
A good team player with a can do attitude and flexible approach who enjoys working in a school environment.

What we offer:
Salary: £11.44 per hour but this is subject to a 5% increase from April 2024
Permanent, Term Time only
Hours: 0930 – 1600 Monday to Friday, 32.5 hours per week, 37 weeks per year

The Economics and Business Studies Department delivers A-level Economics and A-level Business Studies, following the Edexcel and AQA exam boards respectively.
