The Pre-Prep once again gave a very warm welcome to four ladies from Bluebird Care on Tuesday 13 November and a great afternoon was had by all! The girls gave a sterling performance of some of the songs they have been learning with Mrs Smith, including those for the Christmas Show, which had our elderly guests tapping their toes and beaming with joy. The Year 1 girls were then meant to read their school story books to the ladies although one or two were having such a good time that they managed to reverse this and, instead, were seen perched on their guests’ laps contentedly being read to!
The session ended with a blast from the past when Mrs Meaton pulled out some ‘old’ household items lent to us by the Tiverton Museum which provided the perfect opportunity for the Bluebird ladies to revisit a bygone era and share some of their own memories with the Pre-Prep.
