On Wednesday 8 March, ten Lower 5 girls attended the Britain Needs Scientists event at the University of Exeter. This was an exciting conference, aimed to promote degrees and careers in science by giving students the chance to meet several undergraduate and postgraduate scientists in a ‘speed dating’ format. There was also an interactive science fair including ‘stalls’ promoting astrophysics and ecology.
