Our lovely Lower 5 and Lower 6 (Years 10 and 12) historians thoroughly enjoyed a trip to the Chalke Valley History Festival on Thursday, an event packed full of fascinating ‘living history’ exhibitions, immersive experiences and features from the most eminent historians from television and academia. There was an immense amount to take in, from insightful talks to interactive demonstrations of Roman surgery, sword-making, medieval falconry, Tudor lives, Napoleonic warfare and even how to be a female spy. Talk about stepping back in time!
