CyberFirst girls get cracking

Posted on January 30, 2019

Our many Lower 4 (Year 8) coders took part in the initial online round of the CyberFirst Girls Competition, organised by the National Cyber Security Centre, on Thursday 24 January 2019. They cracked challenges in networking, logic and coding, cyber security and cryptography and are aiming to be one of the top ten teams across the UK who will compete in a face-to-face Grand Final at the GCHQ itself!

The idea of the competition is to spark a life-long interest into its competitors that could be turned into a fulfilling career in cyber security, thus helping to make the UK one of the safest places to live and do business online. Judging by the levels of excitement, enthusiasm and sheer talent, we certainly look to have some budding cyber stars within our midst!
