A fascinating visit from a Holocaust Survivor

Last week we welcomed William M. Bergman who has travelled from Bournemouth to share with our older students his first-hand experiences of the Holocaust. In 1938 Mr Bergman, who was born in East Prussia, went into hiding with his mother whilst his grandfather and father were sent to Dachau Concentration Camp in Germany.

This was an amazing opportunity for our students, who found Mr Bergman’s talk hard-hitting but extremely interesting. He feels it is very important to share his story with younger generations in an attempt to make sure our future leaders never allow history to repeat itself in this way.
