We launched our five-week Forest School course for Pre-School children on Monday 27 February, led by our Head of Pre-Prep Mrs Cook, who is a trained Forest School leader. The children gathered twigs for the campfire, explored the undergrowth, whittled sticks to toast marshmallows on and planted the first primroses and daffodils in our flower stream, as well as drinking hot chocolate and cooking popcorn on the fire! We hope everyone enjoyed it! We also look forward to using this area for lots of outdoor learning next term with the Junior and Pre-Prep girls as, in The Maynard mind, learning need not always happen at a desk!
