Since opening in September 2016, the new Pre-Prep is certainly proving to be a very stimulating and happy environment. The Department has welcomed numerous guests during the first half of this term and on Wednesday 12 October, the Years 1 and 2 enjoyed a fantastic science lesson with Mr McElligott, a materials engineer and a real scientist.
The girls are currently learning all about different materials and, in an imaginative display of teaching, Mr McElligott used a variety of sweets to demonstrate the difference between elastic, plastic, brittle and tough objects. This was, apparently, “the best science lesson ever” as judged by Head of the Pre-Prep, Emma Cook, and all the girls!
