What a fabulous (and very ‘Maynard’!) Pre-Prep Sports Day we all enjoyed yesterday, and a huge thanks to all those who were able to join us! Where else would you find iconic races such as the ‘Ice Cream Relay Race’, the ‘Rugby Tots Relay’, the ‘Rubber Duck Water Race’ and, of course, ‘The Great Maynard House Steeplechase’ – all set in the glorious Leebourne gardens with a backdrop of Andrew’s finest eats and treats?
Special mention goes to Harriet who, despite being sidelined with a broken leg, proved the perfect starter, setting the girls off on their various races like an absolute pro; and to the girls themselves who were on flying form, cheering each other on and showing what great sportswomanship is all about. And the Parents Race? Let’s just say … pure gold!
