Following a brilliantly successful first year of our academic mentoring scheme, we invited mentees from Paignton Academy to enjoy a relaxing summer lunch with their Maynard mentors!
It was such a wonderful opportunity for our Lower 6 students and their friends from Paignton to meet after working together on regular video calls for most of the year. This pioneering initative has been incredibly beneficial for both parties: the Paignton students have received an extra boost to their academic learning before their GCSEs, while our Maynardians have consolidated their subject knowledge for A-levels through teaching as well as developing their confidence in public speaking.
We wish the Paignton mentees the very best of luck for their upcoming results days!
