Our Ten Tors teams did amazingly well to tackle the winter wilds again yesterday for their third training weekend on Dartmoor, as they continue to prepare for this year’s Ten Tors Challenge in May.
The teams’ focus for the Sunday walk was on fast, effective navigation over some extremely testing terrain. Indeed, the routes involved two peaks over 1000ft and distances of up to 25km – which all had to completed before sunset!
Despite the cold weather (-4°C at times), all four training teams completed their routes ahead of time. So, a big congratulations to all the girls, but also a huge thank you to our Ten Tors volunteers for all their time and effort (not least, trying to keep up with the teams!).
