Join us for our first ever Summer Drama Workshop, where young actors aged 10-13 will be able to immerse themselves in all things drama, have fun improvising and devising work for performance, and come away having made a few new friends!
- Interactive sessions led by experienced teachers
- Developing creative expression and improvisation
- Creating work for performance in a safe environment
- Building confidence on stage
The cost is £75.00 for the three days. The workshop is open to students from the wider community as well as those here at school and will include both boys and girls. So, if you have friends that you would like to bring along, please spread the word!

Please note that days are not available to book individually.
What will you need: Please bring a packed lunch and snacks each day along with a water bottle (these can be refilled onsite). Please also, bring any medication needed for the day such as inhalers/epipens.
What to wear: Clothes that you can move in along with trainers.

Jane Bellamy-Cooper is our Head of Drama and a highly experienced director of drama for young people. Her experience spans a vast spread of endeavours from working with seminal theatre maker Augusto Boal in Toronto, to devising with the well renowned Theatre De Complicite to performing radio drama with the BBC. She has split her career between performing and directing / teaching and enjoys the freedom to direct interesting shows with keen performers. She has a passion for voice work and physical theatre and above all, quality theatre training for young people.
Anna Briscoe is a highly accomplished English and Drama teacher who has been an exam board examiner for many years. She is a published poet and keen lover of Shakespeare and the spoken word. She has a Masters in critical theory and is a founder of the annual Sussex Poetry Festival. She is a keen singer and an established performer with The Brighton Festival Chorus. Now completing her LAMDA PCert she is enjoying teaching the LAMDA syllabus, our KS3 curriculum and directing for the department. She is also one of our wellbeing specialists.
