Year 1 had a fantastic time exploring the amazing natural world at Haldon Forest on Tuesday. Luckily dodging the showers, our little adventurers followed the Discovery Trail around the forest and spotted characters from Julia Donaldson’s story ‘The Stick Man’, as well as keeping an eye out for the different types of trees and animals who call the forest their home. One of Haldon’s forest rangers also shared their know-how about the age of the trees and how Haldon use the wood from the trees they grow. A fascinating insight into a beautiful slice of nature just a stone’s throw away from school!
