The Royal Albert Memorial Museum in central Exeter is always a captivating place for students to visit, and on this latest trip Year 3 took the opportunity to uncover some of the compelling mysteries of Ancient Egypt!

Girls had so much fun stepping back in time with activities led by museum staff and guides. It was a wonderfully immersive experience to see what they’ve learned in the classroom come to life: some highlights included learning about the process of mummification – complete with having a go at mummifying a doll! – as well as taking a tour of the tomb of Shep en-Mut, learning to play the board game Senet, and handling real and replica artefacts from the time. How amazing to know that this incredible collection of ancient history is just a stone’s throw from the school gate!
