Year 4 unleashed their wild side for yesterday’s trip to a Double Elephant Print Workshop at Exeter Phoenix, producing a host of bright and bold prints on the theme of animals in their habitats.
Artist Simon Ripley did a superb job teaching the girls all about printing. They had the opportunity to have a go at several different styles of printing, making monoprints and collagraphs, and also enjoyed Drypoint printing involving scratching an image onto a plate with a pointed tool. The class greatly enjoyed visiting the printing studios, seeing all the different printing presses and learning about screen printing methods. “Roarsome” work everyone!
