Yesterday’s Leavers’ Concert was a beautiful celebration of the wonderful musicianship and achievements of our senior musicians! It was the perfect send-off for our talented Upper Sixth leavers, and serves as a very special memory for them to keep as they move on to exciting adventures beyond The Maynard.
Leavers performed stunning solos, featuring alongside other amazing performances by the School Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Senior Choir, Chamber Choir, and the Wind Quintet. Music ranged from a Renaissance madrigal to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Following on from the success of the community performance of ‘Zadok the Priest’ last year, they also performed Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus (from ‘The Messiah’) where audience members were invited to sing along and join in with the performance.
